The Orange Box, Fuck Yeah!

by adam | November 10, 2007 in Consoles | Comments Off

orangebox The Orange Box, Fuck Yeah! I’ve been playing the hell out of the Orange Box lately and a friend asked me if it was worth a purchase.  I told him that The Orange Box is the only game that is actually worth 60 dollars.

If you are not familiar with The Orange Box let me fill you in: It’s a game from Valve Software that has been out for a couple weeks now, but it’s not just one game, it’s five games all sold as a package.  It includes Half Life 2, plus it’s two sequel episodes, as well as Portal and Team Fortress 2. Kameo is one of the best looking games I’ve ever played, and luckily, the game play isn’t too shabby either.
Rare had been developing this game since it was originally slated for Nintendo’s little purple box, but it finally ended up as a launch title for Microsoft’s powerful and stylish space heater. It may look like a cute little platformer for the kids, but don’t be fooled by the cartoony art style, it’s not a plamformer and it’s not for the young ones. So what the hell is it? Why don’t you read my review and find out?
